- Establish the desired position of the interactive
whiteboard and mark
the top of the board and the centreline of the board on the wall.
- Headroom. Consult the dimension chart on page 5 ( DIMENSION A) to establish
whether there is sufficient headroom to mount the whiteboard in the desired
position. For example a 66inch
diagonal board requires 700 mm headroom above the top of the board.
Adjust position of board if necessary.
3
4
- Attaching the boom to the wall. Using the spirit level
extend the centreline vertically and lightly mark on the wall. Consult the
chart to establish the height of the bottom of the boom bracket above the
top of the board and mark on the wall.
( DIMENSION B )
- Offer up the boom and mark
the fixing holes on the wall.
Ensure that the top flange of the boom is horizontal using the
spirit level and fix the boom to the wall using fixings not provided.
5
6
- Attaching the projector to the boom. Firstly turn the projector upside down
on a soft surface and screw the plate to the underside of the projector
using M4 screws provided. The arrow
points towards the straight front side.
- Attach the dip bracket to
the projector plate using the three M8 set screws provided and lightly
tighten.
7A
7B
- Attach the horizon bracket
to the end of the boom. A. For boards 62 ins and under
diagonal mount the bracket with the smiley faces towards the wall. B.
For boards 63 ins and over diagonal attach the horizon bracket with
the smiley faces pointing into the room.
8
- Offer the projector, plate
and dip bracket up to the horizon bracket on the boom and secure with 4 nr
M8 set screws.
9A
9B
- Using the spirit level check
the projector plate is level both (A) parallel to the wall and (B) parallel
to the boom. Lightly tighten.
10
11A
11B

- Check that the projector is
square to the wall by measuring from the bottom front corner of the
projector to the wall. Lightly tighten.
- Consult the chart ( DIMENSION C) to establish the
optimum distance between the front of the projector and the wall. Slacken
the two securing screws (A) on top of the boom, slide the boom out (B) to
achieve the correct distance and lightly lock the screws in place. Recheck
that steps 8 to 10 are still aligned.

- Attaching the board brackets to the wall. (A) Extend the line on the wall marking
the top of the board horizontally approx 500mm to the left and right using
the spirit level. Fix the wall brackets equidistant from the vertical
centreline approximately 800mm apart as shown. (B) Ensure that the top of
the brackets are level with each other and that they are both plumb.
13
14
15
- Attach the comb plates to
the wall brackets as shown using the M8 set screws. Adjust the plates so
that the top corners of both brackets are equidistant from the bottom
corners of the projector. Plumb the brackets and lock off.
- Both the wall frame and the
projector should now be square and level and aligned to each other. Take
check measurements to ensure that this is the case.
- Whiteboard with a top hanging groove. Offer the whiteboard
fixing bars to the rear of the board (usually between 50 and
200mm from the top of the board). The bar is usually engaged in a groove at
the top of the board. If this is the case, locate the bars in the comb
plate on the wall bracket and trial hang the board using the top bar only.
Relocate to achieve the closest match of the top of the board level with
the top of the wall bracket. Locate the bottom bar in a pair of comb
grooves best suited to securing the bottom half of the board back to the
whiteboard bar. Do not remove the tape from the Velcro strip at this time.
- Whiteboard with bolt fixings to the rear. Fix the bars to the frame
with bolts as shown. If the preformed holes are not at the correct centres
it may be necessary to drill custom holes in the bar. New holes are being
added to the bars as information is updated. Please advise if our bars do
not suit your hole centres together with the model of board. Hang the
board on the comb. grooves as shown.
- Switch on the projector and check the image is as
central and as square as possible before commencing digital correction.
At this stage the image should be square
on the board.
If not Check
1 The factory settings have been reset.
2 The projector is level in both directions (
use spirit level not digital tilt level. Step 9A and 9B)
3 The projector is square to the wall ( use the
tape measure. Step 10)
4 The board is plumb ( use the spirit level)
5 The top corners of the board are equidistant
from the front corners of the projector. ie the board is parallel to the front
of the projector and central ( use the tape measure)
6 When satisfied with the squareness of the
image the boom can be slid in and out and the board raised and lowered to
achieve the best fit.
Lock boom in best position
ONLY NOW COMMENCE DIGITAL CORRECTION
Finally remove tape from Velcro and
allow adhesive surface to make contact with the rear of the board. If it is
necessary to split the Velcro in the future prise apart the two halves with a
small screwdriver.
- Fit the top clip or clips to the wall to prevent the board from
being lifted from the brackets. (see large image on front page)
