The LAPBANK LAPTOP TROLLEY CABINET is perfect for organisations such as Education and Training where the group laptops are returned for secure overnight storage and charging.
The 20 compartment laptop trolley illustrated includes two additional shelves for wireless equipment as standard.
The additional wireless shelves are included on the 16, 20 and 24 compartment trolley as standard.
|

|
A charging facility is available to ensure full use of the laptops after a night's secure storage.
The design allows the use of the individual transformers supplied with the laptop ensuring the correct voltage and full compatibility
As part of the charging kit a multi-socket electrical strip, cable ties for managing loose cables and industrial velcro for securing the transformer to the shelf are provided to fit easily to the pre drilled holes and tie off points in both of the cabinet sides.
50mm dia plastic gromets ensure wires transfer safely from outside to inside the cabinet.

LAPBANK CABLE INSTALLATION
1.
|
1. The power arrangement is ready for the transformer to be plugged into the power distribution strip.
The power supply cables can be seen sitting on the recessed top ready for connecting to the wall socket.
|
2.
|
2. The excess power supply lead is neatly coiled and secured within the side recess using the cable ties provided.
|
3.
|
3. This shot from inside the cabinet shows the transformer attached to the shelf using the industrial Velcro provided.
The power supply cable can be seen plugged into the rear of the transformer after entering through the plastic grommet.
The low voltage cable is seen coiled and secured to the inside wall leaving only the length required to make an easy connection.

Hints for easy installation
- Separate the transformer from the power lead.
- Attach the self-adhesive Velcro to the underside of the transformer.
- Engage a second piece of Velcro onto the above Velcro do not remove paper.
- Thread the power connector through the gromet from the outside and re-connect to the transformer.
- Remove the paper back of the Velcro and stick transformer to the shelf as close to the side and as far back as convenient. See photo above.
- Coil excess low voltage cable and secure to the inside wall of the cabinet using cable ties provided.
- Repeat this process for all shelves on one side.
- On the outside of the cabinet coil the excess power lead of the top compartment and loosely attach to the side of the cabinet within the recess using a cable tie looped over the top pair of cut outs. Do not tighten the cable tie yet. Engage plug in top socket.
- Continue down the shelves using one cable tie to secure the bottom of one coil and the top of the lower coil through one pair of cut outs.
- Adjust coils to neat appearance, tighten ties and snip off excess cable tie being careful not damage the power leads.
- Repeat on the other side of the cabinet.
- The two power cables on the top of the unit are deliberately left long for shortening by the customer if necessary. If in any doubt about this operation contact a qualified electrician.

DOCKING INSTALLATION
|
|
The D hoops come installed at the front of the trolley so that the door faces the wall when docked.
|
1.
|
1. Drill through the holes in the floor / wall plate with 10mm masonry drill to a depth of 125mm and screw the self threading bolts through the plate and into the floor and wall. Do not overtighten.
See below for further information
|
2.
|
2. Push the trolley up to the plate and engage the D hoops through the slots in the plate. |
3.
|
3. Lock the padlocks provided through the D hoop preventing the trolley from being removed. |
4.
|
4. A pair of additional D hoops can be fixed to the back of the trolley for retaining the trolley whilst in use. |
|
Screwbolt Instructions
- Drill straight holes.
- Drill hole deep enough to allow for full embedment and dust created when screwing in bolt. (See below).
- Undo the screwbolt two turns if resistance is felt and then recommence screwing in until fixed.
Repeat as necessary.(this can occur in high strength substrates).
- Screw the screwbolt fully down so that the underside of the flange or head is against the item being fixed.
- Do not overtighten
Drill diameters for 10mm dia Screwbolt
- Concrete 10mm
- Brick 10mm
- Soft Brick 9mm
- Block 9mm
- Timber 9mm
Drilling Depth equals Embedment depth plus 20mm minimum for dust
