FIXING BOLTS, CABLES AND PLATES - Methods of securing the enclosure
|

6.0mm cable set
|
Steel security enclosures themselves do provide a significant deterrence to thieves because of their weight and bulk and the need for the safe to be opened at some stage.
To increase the resistance to removal it is desirable to attach the enclosure to a structure or fabric of the building.
The simplest and most effective way is to either bolt the unit with our dome headed coach bolts or screw the unit to the desk with a range of our stock fixings.
Where it is not desirable to fix directly to the desk, fixings can be made to the walls or floors using our heavy duty plugs and coach screws.
Alternatively, a flexible connection from the enclosure to the underside of the desk in the form of a cable, may be attached to a strong point.
The strong point is attached to the desk with a combination of a special adhesive and short screws.

Fixing by this method is quick, cheap and causes no damage to the surface of the furniture. It also has the benefit of allowing flexibility in the positioning of the computer.
All Loxit units include screw down holes in the base and a cable attachment point in the rear.
The above are only some of the possible means of attachment. Contact us to discuss your requirements
